Terms of service

Effective 3 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Marres, a service provided by Marres Insights Pte Ltd. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Accounts and access

You must give accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and use only the company tenant that you are authorised to use. You are responsible for activity under your account unless you tell us promptly about unauthorised access.

Access to paid analysis depends on the subscription and entitlement state confirmed through Stripe. We may suspend access when payment fails, a subscription ends, these terms are breached, or continued access creates a security or legal risk.

Subscriptions and payment

The price and billing period shown during Stripe checkout apply to your purchase. Stripe provides the hosted checkout and billing pages. An account owner can open Stripe's billing portal from Marres and use the options available there.

A checkout success page does not grant access by itself. Marres grants paid access only after it confirms the paid billing state. Mandatory rights under applicable law still apply.

Permitted use

Use Marres only for lawful internal business purposes. Do not use the service to violate another person's rights, interfere with the service, bypass access controls, submit malicious content, or obtain data that you are not authorised to use.

Your data and responsibilities

You are responsible for the company names, Google Maps URLs, competitor choices, domain selections, and other material you submit. You must have the right to submit and use that material. You must not submit credentials, payment-card details, or private personal data that the service does not request.

You retain your rights in submitted material. You grant Marres a non-exclusive licence to process it only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the reliability of the service.

Marres outputs and intellectual property

Marres and its licensors retain rights in the service, software, methods, designs, and general know-how. While your account has the required access, you may use outputs produced for your tenant inside your business. You may not resell the service or its outputs, remove source notices, or present an output as independent professional advice without written permission.

Third-party services

Marres uses third-party services for public review collection, model processing, hosting, and billing. Their systems and terms can affect availability. Marres remains responsible for its own service boundary, but it does not control third-party services or public source content.

Decision-support limits

Marres provides informational business decision support. Outputs are based on available public reviews, selected comparison data, and model processing. They can be incomplete, wrong, or outdated. They do not guarantee an outcome and are not legal, financial, tax, medical, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for decisions and actions taken from an output.

Availability and warranties

We aim to operate Marres with reasonable care, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free output, complete source coverage, or a specific business result. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without implied warranties.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Marres Insights Pte Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, lost profit, lost revenue, lost opportunity, or loss caused by a decision made from an output. Its total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for Marres in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim.

This limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

Ending use

You may stop using Marres at any time. Subscription changes take effect according to the billing state returned by Stripe. Terms that must continue by their nature, including payment, intellectual property, liability, and governing-law terms, remain in effect.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the service.

Contact founders@marres.io with a question about these terms.
